Synopsis

The Magic User’s Club is a group of five well-meaning misfits who do more than card tricks – they can use actual magic. And with that magic, they managed to defeat a giant ship from outer space! But their close encounter left an enormous cherry blossom tree right in the middle of the city. It’s so big that it blocks out the sun! Takeo Takakura, the club's noble (but perverted) president, calls a special Sunday meeting to take care of the tree. It seems simple enough, but when magic is involved, nothing ever goes according to plan…

"Exactly one year ago, aliens invaded Earth. But it wasn't the kind of invasion you'd expect. After descending from space and destroying any opposition, the giant spaceship known as The Bell just... sat there. For a year it's been floating silently over the ocean, quietly observing how Earthlings live. Everyone's pretty much used to it by now. Everyone, that is, except the Magic User's Club. They're a small band of misfits who can do actual, honesttogoodness magic!

The Magic User's Club is a group of high schoolers who can do actual, honest-to-goodness magic! Their leader, Takeo, wants to fight against the aliens who are invading earth, but it'll be a tough task for this group of misfits.
Ep. 2: The Giant Top, Mistress Mizuha, and Failed Magic (1996-07-25)

Takeo is about to face his greatest enemy, and we don’t mean the aliens! It’s Mizuha Miyama! She’s the large-chested drama queen who runs the Manga Club next door, and her greatest goal in life is to make Takeo miserable.
Ep. 3: The Whirligig, Akane, and Forbidden Magic (1996-10-25)

Akane is the flakiest member of the Magic User’s Club, but also the most talented. Unfortunately, she usually uses her magic for pranks. When she uses magic in public and the aliens find out, she ends up their number one target!
Ep. 4: The Sea, the Cave, and a Magic Party (1997-02-25)

The Magic User’s Club is going to the beach! There’ll be sun, sand, and skimpy suits… But it’s not all fun and games. Mizuha Miyama and her entourage are there too, and she has plans for Takeo’s ultimate humiliation!
Ep. 5: Nanaka, Aburatsubo, and Confession Magic? (1997-07-25)

The aliens are getting bolder. Their ship is directly over the city now, and their mechanical scouts are always watching. In the midst of all this, Nanaka has come to a decision. Will she use magic for something she shouldn’t?
Ep. 6: Sae, Jeff, and the Big Spell (1997-10-25)

Takeo has a plan. They’ll use their new spell to trade places with Sae and rescue her from the ship! No time for second thoughts - the aliens are on the move, so if the Magic User’s Club is gonna save the world, it’s now or never!
