After the arrest of her husband, Emma moves her family to Ponza, where she starts a new life as GP.

Emma is trying to settle into life on Ponza and leave the past behind, but things on the island get complicated when Elvira, her mother-in-law, arrives. Meanwhile, the doctor gets to know the mysterious Antonio better…

Elvira arrived in Ponza with a very specific goal: to bring her daughter-in-law Emma and her three granddaughters back to Milan. She does everything she can to achieve her goal. Meanwhile, Pietro receives some good news: he will soon be released from prison.

Pietro arrives on the island of Ponza after being released from prison. He is warmly welcomed by his daughters and his mother, Elvira, though not so much by Emma, who—confused by the situation with Antonio and disappointed by Pietro’s behavior—can’t bring herself to pretend nothing has happened.

Pietro is forced to pack his bags and return to Milan alone. Before leaving, however, he issues a warning to Emma, who is already unsettled by the charming Antonio.
