King Harold of England faces the first test of his reign when his own brother, Tostig, attacks the South Coast. Later in the year, Harald Hardrada lands a Viking army in the North triggering two important battles.

Finally the winds change, allowing William's fleet to cross the Channel. King Harold is 300 miles away and must rush back south to face the Norman army in a battle that will change the course of British history.
