Inazuma Eleven: Ares

Synopsis

Ares depicts an alternative canon following the events of the first season of the original Inazuma Eleven anime after their victory in the Football Frontier, with the alien attack from the second season never occurring. When Japanese soccer has been deemed weak compared to international competition, the Raimon Eleven disbanded with its members transferring into different soccer teams across the country to strengthen Japan's soccer at a national level. Furthermore, sponsorship has become a vital aspect in a Japanese youth soccer team's survival as it prevents a team's disbandment while being essential to partake in matches. The series focuses on the forward Asuto Inamori and his team, Inakuni Raimon, which is made up of players from the remote Inakunijima Island. Needing to maintain their club, they have replaced the original Raimon Eleven as Raimon Junior High's soccer team and compete as underdogs in the annual Football Frontier youth tournament.

Inazuma Eleven Outer Code is a series of original anime shorts that take place in an alternate timeline where the aliens' attack never happened. It consists of 6 stories and serves as a bridge between the original series and the new series, Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin.

Ep. 1: Inazuma Eleven: Reloaded (2018-01-21)

Special prologue episode of the Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin series. It is a remake of the original Inazuma Eleven episode 27. After defeating Zeus and becoming the Football Frontier champions, the members of Raimon return to the soccer club. Unlike episode 27, the club is not invaded by aliens. Instead, everyone congratulates the team members for their remarkable achievements. Kidou Yuuto and Gouenji Shuuya then propose to take on the world. Hibiki Seigou comes in and, incidentially, proposes a match between Raimon and the Spanish youth league champion, Barcelona Orb.
Ep. 2: Shirou and Atsuya (2016-11-04)

This story takes place during episode 1 of Ares no Tenbin. Hakuren's captain, Fubuki Shirou, and his younger brother, Atsuya, are watching the match between Raimon and Seishou Gakuen. However, Mabuka Souji is displeased with Atsuya's behaviour from their previous match.
Ep. 3: Sun Garden's Light and Shadow (2016-12-09)

This story takes place before Ares no Tenbin's Football Frontier. Ohisama En and Eisei Gakuen's teacher, Kira Hitomiko, wants to create a soccer club for her students to make their dream of competing in the Football Frontier come true. But her father, Kira Seijirou, is the school's principal and he has a condition to include his troublesome son, Kira Hiroto in the team.
Ep. 4: The New Coach of Teikoku Gakuen (2017-01-20)

This story takes place before Ares no Tenbin's Football Frontier. One year has passed since the Football Frontier;Kageyama Reiji was arrested and Sakuma Jirou became Teikoku Gakuen's captain. The team is getting a new coach and a new member. However, they're someone they never expected.
Ep. 5: I'm not a God (2017-05-13)

This story takes place shortly after the Football Frontier finals in the original series. After Zeus lost to Raimon in the Football Frontier and the controversy of the team's power, Zeus lost its fame and credit. As the captain, Aphrodi feels responsible for the team and its misery. A mysterious woman then appears and talks to him.
Ep. 6: K's Dining Table (2017-06-30)

This story takes place after Raimon lost to Barcelona Orb in Inazuma Eleven Reloaded. Kidou Yuuto is having a conversation about the future of Japan's youth soccer with his father. But after his butler serves him food, he is shocked about its taste.
Ep. 7: Tsun-Tsun Matsuri (2017-08-19)

This story takes place one day before the match between Raimon and Barcelona Orb in Inazuma Eleven Reloaded. Gouenji Shuuya goes to The Edge, a salon owned by Takita Atsushi, to get his monthly haircut done. Fudou Akio and Kabeyama Heigorou later come to also get a haircut, but Takita wants to do something different with their hair.
