Synopsis

Mendosa, the chief adviser of the king of Valiante, begins a campaign to hunt down "witches," resulting in the deaths of many magical knights and their sorcerer assistants. Anna, a sorceress married to the knight Herman Lewis, gives birth to a son before her execution. Herman takes their child, Leon, and flees, raising him to be the heir of the legendary Golden Armor. By the time Leon grows up, Valiante is completely in the control of Mendosa, who drives out Prince Alfonso and his mother. Alphonso decides to seek out the man who inherited the Golden Armor to reclaim the throne and save his people.

Ep. 1: Home (2015-01-02)

Ema visits her friend Tina at the orphanage set up by their foster mother Natoria to care for children whose parents were killed by Horrors. While singing, they spin yarn, but Tina also spins the special thread used by Alchemists like Ema on a Madou spinning wheel. Tina meets their teacher Tobias who doesn't trust strangers and Ema suspects that Tina is attracted to him. When Ema takes the Madou spinning wheel away to avoid it attracting Horrors, Tobias' knife exploits his hatred of strangers and prompts him to kill two rogues who are planning to kidnap an orphan. This act causes Tobias to become a Horror and he pursues Ema so she is forced to kill him using Natoria's magic thread.
