Synopsis

Helen Stephens is wrongly sentenced to 12 years in prison for murdering her boss Eric Bridges, the managing director of Entirely Tiles. Although she is sure that it will only be a matter of time before this mistake is rectified, everyone around her seems to be conspiring to keep her behind bars. Lawyer Tony is incompetent, sister Laura wants her flat, and fiancé Justin - her alibi - has disappeared. Colleague Henry seems to be the only one willing to help, but he has an ulterior motive.

Ep. 1: Episode 1 (2012-06-14)

Helen is finding the challenges of her new life in Broadmarsh Prison very hard. Margaret, the governor, sees prisoners as an irritation whilst Christine, Helen’s arsonist cellmate just wants a hug. The Top Dog ends up taking an instant dislike to Helen.
Ep. 2: Episode 2 (2012-06-14)

Helen decides to put together a team for the prison quiz and her eye is on an unexpectedly special prize. Tony has been warned off her case and events at the Entirely Tiles head office increase.
Ep. 3: Episode 3 (2012-06-21)

Christine is sent to Germany on a prison exchange. Helen is told by the prison governor Margaret to look after their German guest Gertrude Verna. Gertie is in prison for murdering and then eating her husband and is a celebrity having written several books.
Ep. 4: Episode 4 (2012-06-28)

Frustrated by the lack of progress with her appeal, Helen ends up taking matters into her own hands and decides to study law. Top Dog has got rid of her posse, and they decide to appoint Helen in her place as their new leader. Tony looks around the Entirely Tiles offices and the new MD, widow Mrs Bridges starts to become suspicious.

Margaret announces plans she has for the annual prison choir competition in which they have been drawn against Woolley Grange, which has a reputation for choral excellence. Helen auditions, hoping to become lead vocalist until the surprise appearance of Virna. Laura and Justin are concerned about their finances. Mrs Bridges ends up making an interesting discovery.
Ep. 6: Episode 6 (2012-07-12)

Helen is moved to D Wing where she becomes friends with, much to the upset of Christine. Helen hopes that she will be released now that her alibi and fiancé Justin has been located. Margaret finds out that she is being transferred to a new prison. Henry makes a gruesome discovery.
