Webb and Dragnet co-star, Harry Morgan as Officer Bill Gannon performed a comedic skit with Jack Benny involving an alleged 484 PS-Purse theft. Webb's daughter Stacy recalled, "Dad was not only a lifetime fan of Jack Benny, he was also a longtime friend and considered it an honor to make an appearance on the show."
