Adapting (2026)
Synopsis
A flaming wheelchair. A principal’s brand-new car. And one unforgettable exit. Sixteen-year-old twins Lennon and Lola Anderson are forced to leave behind the only life they’ve ever known after the death of their mother. Along with their father, Mel, they move to Halfway Bay, the picturesque coastal town where their mother grew up, hoping for a fresh start. But none of them are quite ready for what comes next. Smart, funny and fiercely independent, Lennon, who has cerebral palsy, is determined not to be known simply as “the disabled new girl.” At her new school, she soon finds herself caught between Joey, a lovable outsider who understands her in unexpected ways, and Dylan, Halfway Bay’s golden boy. Meanwhile, Lola discovers an unexpected passion for dance, while Mel begins rebuilding more than just an old seaplane. The Andersons may have escaped their old lives, but starting over is about to prove far more complicated than they imagined.
