Synopsis
If Ann and Ben don’t stop accidentally ruining each others’ birthdays, they’re not going to be best friends much longer. A joint party sounds like the natural solution, but that requires planning, and that brings up a whole host of issues and insecurities as Ann and Ben confront the fact that their lives aren’t exactly what they expected as they hurtle toward 30. This party is supposed to save their friendship, but will planning it destroy them?

Ann and Ben realizes they have a problem with their shared birthday date and both have different ways to solve that issue. Eventually, they settle on hosting a co-party.

As Ben attempts to research venues for their party, he discovers that nerds have gone mainstream. Who even IS he ?!

Ben decides he wants a THEME for the party: presidents! Ann resolutely says no.

Ben and Ann go to Party City to buy decorations and party-stuff. They debate the merits of paper and plastic. It's funnier than it sounds.

Ann has to clean for the party, so she uses the job to clear out her house of ex-boyfriend stuff. Ben comes clean about a big secret.

Ep. 6: Not a Booty Call
Ann and Ben get together to plan, fail to plan, and Ben takes a booty call that isn't really a booty call.

Ep. 7: Not Hot
Ben finally convinces Ann to research costumes for the party and she reveals a rather disturbing character trait: genocidal maniacs are hot.
