Synopsis

Cars Toons is a series of shorts based on Cars. The show aired on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Freeform, and one was even shown in theaters. From 2008 to 2012, the series consisted only of episodes of Mater's Tall Tales. The second series of Cars Toons, called Tales from Radiator Springs, aired in 2013. The third and final series, Cars on the Road, debuted in 2022.

Cruise into the crazy adventures of Tow Mater as you watch him be a fire truck, daredevil, import drifter, and even an astronaut.

A routine tow lands Mater in Tokyo, where he is challenged to a drift-style race against a nefarious gang leader and his posse of ninjas. With the help of his friend, "Dragon" Lightning McQueen, and some special modifications, Mater attempts to drift to victory and become "Tow-ke-O Mater, King of all Drifters."
Ep. 5: Unidentified Flying Mater (2009-11-20)

Mater tells the story of the time he found a UFO, named it Mator and, thanks to friendship, learned how to fly.

Mater is a professional wrestler who works his way up the ranks from amateur to World Champion Monster Truck Wrestler, wrestling all kinds of characters along the way. When faced with his biggest opponent yet, Mater tags in his "tag team partner," Frightening McMean.

Mater tells the story of how he became a successful rock star in a heavy metal band with his hit song "Dad Gum."

When a clock lands on Mater's engine, he travels back in time to 1909 where he meets Stanley, an ambitious young car on his way to California. With the help of Lightning McQueen, Mater alters history by convincing Stanley to stay and build Radiator Springs. Stanley meets Lizzie and they commemorate the opening of the new courthouse with their wedding.
Ep. 12: Mater and the Ghostlight (2006-10-25)

In this short featuring the characters of the movie Cars, Mater is told the story of a Ghostlight, which causes him to be scared.
