Ep. 1: Episode 1
An Qianyun had been a widow for many years and lives with her son and parents-in-law. When her son Dai Chun was about to graduate from college, he had a conflict with his classmate Gu Tianliang during a basketball game. Gu Tianliang pushed him onto an iron plate and died. An Qianyun was devastated, and Grandma Dai and Grandpa Dai could not accept the reality of losing their precious grandson. In reality, Gu Tianliang accidentally beat Dai Chun to death and ran away out of fear. Her mother, Zhou Huazhen, was very anxious and went to Dai's house to plead for her guilty son's forgiveness, but was driven out of the house by Dai's grandmother and Dai Chun's uncle and aunt.

Dai Chun's girlfriend Lan Jing was extremely sad because of her boyfriend's death. Like everyone in the Dai family, she was full of hatred for Gu Tianliang. Gu Tianliang fled to the outskirts of a city and worked in a mine under the alias Wang Tianqi. An Qianyun cried all day long and Lan Jing fell into grief and couldn't extricate herself, looking for Gu Tianliang everywhere to seek revenge. Grandma Dai angrily came to the Gu family to ask for help, and had a fierce conflict with Gu Tianliang's stepfather.

Zhou Huazhen had no choice but to look for her son everywhere. When she was eating at a restaurant in a small town near where Gu Tianliang worked, she was deceived by a bad guy who stole her wallet. She cried bitterly and begged the restaurant owner to let her go, but was refused. Gu Tianliang and Shui Qing We went to town to buy groceries together, and found his mother crying on the street. He didn't dare to see his mother, so he took out the little money he had and asked Shui Qing to give it to her. Lan Jing was stimulated by Dai Chun's death and fell into a trance. Her father Lan Zhuo Shi was extremely worried. Seeing that Lan Jing often went to An Qianyun's house to remember Dai Chun, he was very unhappy and dissatisfied with An Qianyun.
