Synopsis
Originating in the hidden heart of Borneo, the Kinabatangan River winds its way for more than 560 kilometers before feeding into the rich coral reefs of the Sulu Sea. We follow local wildlife photographer, Cede Prudente, as he captures the destruction, drama and diversity of life that the river supports in the hopes of raising awareness of the challenges facing the river system.

Travelling further down the Kinabatangan River, wildlife photographer Cede Prudente checks out a trap set to capture the elusive Clouded Leopard. We meet a man dedicated to rescuing Sun Bears from the illegal pet trade. Cede witnesses two million wrinkly bats leaving for their nightly feed as the raptors hunt them. And we meet the group trying to detect animal to human viruses.

Documenting the Kinabatangan river in Borneo, wildlife photographer Cede Prudente meets village elder Patti Arsah and his grandson. Biologist Marc Ancranez works with villagers to save humankind's closest genetic relative - the orangutan. Conservationist Luke Evans attaches a satellite tracker to a wild Saltwater Crocodile, and Cede completes his once in a lifetime journey.
