Max Zander, a top WIPA agent, fakes his death after his friend Leo is killed in a bomb attack. Adopting the persona of “The Clown,” he fights crime in disguise with help from Claudia, Dobbs, and Ludowski. He targets organized crime in Düsseldorf/Köln.
Ep. 2: Feindschaft (1998-04-21)

Drug lord Görtz sets a trap using a financial transfer. Ludowski’s family is kidnapped. The Clown rescues them with Claudia and Dobbs, thwarting Görtz’s scheme using clever tactics rather than lethal force.
