Synopsis
East of Everything is an Australian drama television series which began screening on 30 March 2008 on the ABC. It is produced by Deborah Cox, Fiona Eagger and Roger Monk. Two seasons were produced. East of Everything revolves around a globe-trotting travel writer who returns home for his Mum's funeral to a neglected resort town, Broken Bay, on the easternmost point of Australia. He is challenged by a crooked local council, his brother who is trying to cheat him out of his inheritance, his first love who broke his heart when he was a teenager and the son he hasn't seen in ten years. The setting was named by combining the names of Byron Bay and Broken Head.

Ep. 1: Gross National Happiness
Terry Adams's lost 'nest-egg' continues washing up on Broken Bay's beaches and after a punch up in the surf, Art and Vance score some waterlogged cash.

Ep. 2: Voila, Baby
Vance races to the resort to find Art packing to leave, but is able to convince his brother to wait while they contest Nancy's Will on the basis of her sanity.

Ep. 3: The Shining Path
Art and Vance concoct a plan that will allow Art to continue with his travel writing but seem to comply with the terms of Nancy's will. However, Eve warns Art not to trust his brother and sets about gathering dirt on Vance.

Ep. 4: No Way to Nirvana
Art has decided to stay in Broken Bay, but when his girlfriend, Lara, visits him from overseas, it causes problems with Eve. Vance is having romantic problems of his own and decides to expose Melanie's affair with Terry.

Ep. 5: Save Me Some Scones
Josh is still missing - along with Art's laptop - and the friction between Art and Suzy builds. And Melanie, now abandoned by Vance, has no enthusiasm for her schemes with Terry Adams.

Confronted with a demolition order for the resort, Art enlists a reluctant Eve to help him apply for heritage status for the Far Out East.
