Synopsis
Ex-cavalry scout and gunfighter Will Sonnett and his grandson, Jeff, search the West for Will's son—and Jeff's father—Jim Sonnett, a former lawman and gunslinger, who has avoided seeing his son in order to keep him away from the assortment of killers and bounty hunters who are after him.

Ep. 1: Ride the Long Trail
A travelling show arrives in town, claiming to have guns from famous gunslingers. Of particular interest to young Jeff Sonnett is a gun that supposedly belonged to his infamous father, James. Never having known his father, Jeff convinces his grandfather, Will, to help him find his father, no matter how long it takes. The first stop is a small town where the Sonnetts find a man who lost an arm in a gunfight with James Sonnett and is looking for revenge on anyone with the name Sonnett.

An up and coming gunslinger who puts a small bell on his belt for each person he's killed wants to add the Sonnett name to his reputation.

Will and Jeff find a grave marked for James Sonnett in a small Mexican town. James had been protecting the town from bandits,a job that his son and father decide to finish. In the end, it turns out that the grave was only a ruse to throw the bandits off the trail of a wounded James Sonnett, so the search continues.
