In this opener, Rawlinson is dead which causes the smooth running of the underworld to become disrupted. This causes the Asian, West Indian, and white communities gangsters to begin looking for a new leader. At the same time, the police release prisoner John Kline, who could possibly be the leading contender for Rawlinson's job.
