Ep. 1: Bali & Lombok - Temples And Rice Paddies
The film tour leads from the capital Denpasar to the surfing paradises Sanur and Kuta on the Indian Ocean. We continue past lush green rice terraces into the interior of the island. At the Beratan Lake priests sacrifice to the water goddess Dewi Danu. In the north, the fishing port of Negara and the Buddhist temple of Banjar are visited. Water buffalos train for an exciting race. Not far from the lively artist town of Ubud, the sacred Gunung Agung volcano rises on the shores of Lake Batur. A visit to the Goa Lawa bat temple. Traditional festivals are the morning baron dance and the famous Kecak dance at the Uluwatu temple. A speedboat sails from Padang Bai to the neighboring island of Lombok, which attracts visitors with its original white dream beaches.

Ep. 8: Botswana - Wildlife In The Okavango-Delta
The dry savannahs and deserts of the Kalahari cover the largest area of the country in southern Africa. Most visitors are therefore primarily drawn to the water-rich regions of the "Linyanti Reserve" and the "Okavango Delta". Like a Noah's ark, they are shielded living space for a fascinating flora and fauna. The film safari leads from Chobe National Park on the banks of the river of the same name to the "Linyanti Reserve", whose savanna and marshland is served by the "Linyanti". Game drives from the "Duma Tau" lodge bring lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards and the rare wild dogs to a few meters in front of the camera. An air jump leads further into the heart of the "Okavango Delta", a huge infiltration area with its watercourses and lakes. From the modern "Vumbura Plains" lodge it goes into the treetops of the "Kwetsani" lodge in the "Jao" area. The lion roars again in the African night ...

Ep. 13: Japan - Shinto, Samurai and Shinkansen
The Ise shrine and numerous temples reflect the millennia-old history of the island kingdom. In addition, there are the legends of the samurai, for which the sky-high castle in Himeji stands. The film tour leads to the temples of Kyoto via Nara, the old capital of the empire. The next breathtaking highlight is the metropolis of Tokyo: rush hour in the subway, skyscrapers, temples and Ginza shopping. After the Hakone National Park we go to the temples of Nikko and to Takayama in the mountains. Other stops are: the hot springs of Nagano, the city of Osaka and the temple mountain Koyasan with its Buddhist monastery life. Hiroshima has risen from the ruins of the Second World War to a lively city. Heavy sumo wrestlers climb into the ring in Fukuoka. The Japan tour concludes with a trip in the lightning-fast Shinkansen.

To Nizwa, the former capital, leading the way into the desert of Wahiba Sands with its glittering stars. The keels are laid for the construction of traditional "dhows" in Sur. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan stretches between vast deserts in the east and the shores of the Dead Sea. Oak forests in the north form the backdrop of Mar Elias and the Arab fortress Ajlun. Buddhism and thousands of golden pagodas characterize Myanmar. The film journey begins in the metropolis of Yangon with its vibrant street markets, the harbor and the golden stupa of the Shwedagon Pagoda. 150 km to the east, the golden rock hovers over the abyss as a striking pilgrimage destination. Inle Lake is framed by the Shan Mountains. Skilful one-leg oarsmen throw out their nets and farmers order the floating gardens ". The lifeline of Myanmar is the more than 2,000 km long Ayeyarwady. By boat it goes to the villages and towns on its banks. The former royal city was Mandalay with the palace complex, the famous Buddha sculptors and goldsmiths. The fascinating setting in Amarapura is the sunset at the U-Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world. In Bagan, at sunrise, the hot air balloons glide over the 2,000 pagodas and temples that protrude from the plain to Mount Popa.
