Ghost Stories (1997)
Synopsis
Ghost Stories is an American horror anthology television series that ran from 1997 to 1998 on the cable channel The Family Channel. The show was narrated by Rip Torn and originally two episodes were presented back to back in an hour-long segment. However, towards the end of the series it was broken down into 30 minute episodes with just one story, most featuring a style similar to episodes of The Twilight Zone in which there would be a twist at the end. There have been five DVD releases and is currently being shown in the United Kingdom on the TV channel Zone Horror.

A crooked lawman hounds an ex-con bank robber to determine the whereabouts of his buried loot. Upon retrieving the ill-gotten booty, the dirty cop discovers to his horror that the money's even dirtier - it's haunted by the spirits of those who were killed during the heist.

A couple returns to their honeymoon hotel in a last ditch effort to save their crumbling marriage. When the wife vanishes, the husband is suspected of killing her.

Abandoning her family, a woman drives out of town and stops at an all night diner. Inside, she is harassed by strange customers who know too much of her past, causing her to flee to another diner. But to her horror, she discovers that it's the same diner with the same tormentors. Turns out she was killed in a car crash and is trapped in her own purgatory of guilt.
