Synopsis
How much can we learn about a European city and enjoy it in only two or three days? Probably a lot if you like racing around from one monument to the other and decide for little or no sleep at all. But what about going behind the postcard image of a city, walking away from some monuments in order to have a peep into the side alleys? and to get tips about less known but yet very typical parts of the town? This series will embark you on a trip to explore secret and apparently ordinary streets, bars, public places that yet make the specific atmosphere of each town. You will see, meet, try new experiences – unknown, little known sometimes quite odd for your personal standard. From the hospital for dolls in Lisbon, through Budapest day and night buzz, to the international diplomatic hub in Brussels, the series will make you travel, and understand how these cities have been changing and thriving. The streets of European cities will at last reveal their charm.

Ep. 1: Amsterdam
Less hectic and imposing than a metropolis, Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the economic capital of Catalonia. It is famous for its rich architectural heritage where each artistic period reveals its originality and ingenuity. Active during the industrial revolution, Barcelona continued to grow through the organization of major Universal Exhibitions and with the 1992 Olympic Games it reached its full potential. This dynamism had an impact on tourism and Barcelona became the European city where everyone wants to be at least once. Let's set out on a few days' journey to discover this vibrant metropolis that has managed to keep one foot in tradition and the other in the vanguard.

Ep. 3: Brussels
When we arrive in Brussels we think we are going to visit a large metropolis and we discover a city of human size. We think we are going to get lost in the medieval intricacies of the ancient capital of the state of Burgundy and suddenly we realize that the city hides an architectural modernity that is sometimes anarchic. Brussels, the true heart of Belgium and the epicenter of European institutions, is first and foremost a city full of paradoxes and contrasts. A French-speaking islet, in the middle of a Flemish country that is home to around 1/3 of foreigners. There are many reasons to invite you to spend a few days in this true multicultural laboratory. Ep. 4: Budapest
They call Budapest the pearl of the Danube. Considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, it has numerous monuments listed as World Heritage and the number of tourists visiting the Hungarian capital continues to increase every year. Budapest is a city with a troubled past. Its political history made a major ideological shift, a monarchy at the beginning of the 20th century would later live for more than 40 years at the pace of a communist regime. Let's set out to discover the neighborhoods and personalities that make Budapest so atypical.

Ep. 5: Lisbon
After going through a serious economic crisis in the early 2000s, Lisbon once again became one of the main tourist destinations in Europe. All eyes turn to the so-called white city, due to its shine. With 300 days of sunshine a year and a temperature rarely below 10 degrees, the Portuguese capital has arguments to seduce. Lisbon is a city of contrasts: on one side the historic center with its castle and narrow streets, on the other the old industrial neighborhoods undergoing rehabilitation that attract artists and connected youth. Lisbon stretches along the Tagus River and a trip of 2 or 3 days will be enough to convince you that it is indeed one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The appeal of London is hard to resist. This cosmopolitan and electric metropolis offers so many alternatives that everyone will be able to find their way from one neighborhood to another. Birthplace of mythical musical currents, Anglo-Saxon literature, center of fashion and global stock exchange, this multifaceted city enjoys dynamism and invaluable cultural capital. Balancing British phlegm with rock and roll spirit, it knows better than any other city how to play with its contrasts and contradictions.

Ep. 7: Prague
Prague is a very cosmopolitan city. The capital of the Czech Republic is located in the heart of Europe. After the Velvet Revolution and the fall of communism in 1989, Prague opened up to the world and everyone benefited. With a dynamic economy, life in this city is very pleasant: dozens of parks and gardens run through the capital to such an extent that many question whether Prague is a city in the middle of the countryside or the countryside in the middle of the city. It takes two or three days to get lost in the endless alleys and discover a city with a thousand faces.

Capital of the Roman Empire during Antiquity, seat of the Vatican, cradle of the Renaissance, Rome, the eternal city, never stopped shining in Italy and beyond its borders. Wandering through its streets marked by history and the stratification of eras constitutes an absolutely amazing journey through time. Ancient amphitheaters, Renaissance churches, Baroque palaces, theatrical squares, monumental works of fascist architecture. It is impossible to take a step without your eyes not being attracted by a new curiosity. Called an open-air museum, Rome has many surprises in store for you.
