Synopsis

After their trip to Middlesbrough turned a little more explosive than they thought, Gemma and Terry finally decide to pack up the smouldering remains of their coach tour business and set out on a new adventure as fully-fledged private detectives.

Draper's Tours are taking Mildred and her care home friends on an overnight ferry trip from North Shields to Amsterdam, where things will quickly turn turbulent as the passengers and crew begin to get bumped off one-by-one. Throughout it all, Terry is still desperate to pop the question to Gemma, even if the circumstances are less than romantic.

Terry and Gemma are forced to take refuge in a sinister and dilapidated caravan park after their coach breaks down. During the unplanned stay, visitors and residents begin to be bumped off one by one under grizzly circumstances.

It's Christmas and Gemma has hired a lovely cottage in a quaint village. Terry spots that the village has a Santa competition, but things take a dark turn as competitors start being killed off in a host of warped and festive ways.

Apocalypse Slough: A Murder, They Hope Mystery sees Gemma recruited by the SCA (Serious Crimes Agency). This is a dream come true for Gemma, finally becoming what she's always wanted to be: an official, ball busting, kick ass, specially trained investigator. While she is delighted, sadly the SCA don't want Terry because of his criminal past.
