Aiko Kuon shows up at his former boyfriend's funeral, where she is approached by his older brother Seiichirou Karibe. He asks that she help him write his romance manga, by dating guys and telling him about it. Seiichirou also takes in his late brother's young son.

When Aiko goes to her boyfriend's funeral, his older brother asks her to fall in love, so he can portray it in his popular manga. Aiko takes the job, and meets Rugby fan Tsuyoshi in a cafe.
Ep. 2: Beauty and the Beast! Her next assignment is break up! (2021-04-15)

Karibe orders Aiko to break up with Hayase. She reads Karibe's comic, and realizes his skill. After much agonizing, she breaks it off, but doesn't get paid. Her next assignment is to go out with Ren's teacher.
Ep. 3: The Ogre's Strange Plan: Forbidden love with a gal-loving teacher (2021-04-22)

Aiko tries to reel in Ren's teacher, Ookura, but he proposes to his girlfriend instead. Aiko's apartment is closing, so Seiichihiro offers her use of a room in his place.
Ep. 4: Changes from his Life Alone. Acting Cute to Snag a Rich Guy (2021-04-29)

Aiko moves in, but at first, gets in Seiichirou's way. He gets her to go after a rich man, but when this guy turns on her, Seiichirou steps in to defend her.
Ep. 5: Her sis shows up, so they pretend to be lovers!? A new Seiichirou!? (2021-05-06)

Aiko's older sister Ruriko shows up, so Kougo recommends that Aiko and Seiichirou pretend to be in love. Seiichirou initially balks, but Ren is closing in on the truth about the picture Seiichirou drew.
Ep. 6: Out of the blue our hero/heroine's hearts stir! A battle breaks out between the men!! (2021-05-13)

Yuna at 2Story Cafe falls ill, so Aiko fills in for her as a waitress. Cafe manager Nikaidou and Seiichirou argue. Seiichirou saves Aiko from falling, holding her in his arms again. Nikaidou kisses Aiko.
Ep. 7: Mom from Hell Returns. The Reason a Romance Cartoonist Cannot Love (2021-05-20)

Ren's mom, Minami, shows up, but Seiichirou tells her to go. It turns out Jun asked Minami to date Seiichirou, but she ended up marrying Jun, then running away. Aiko confesses her love for Seiichirou
Ep. 8: What Happens after She Confesses her Love? Mom from Hell Comes Back! Will the Fake Family Fall Apart? (2021-05-27)

Minami comes back. Aiko thinks all is lost, and tells Seiichirou she will move out. Minami takes Ren shopping, but when Seiichirou finds her she is alone. He finally goes to find Aiko to tell her how he feels.
Ep. 9: After their kiss... (2021-06-03)

Hayase tells Ren et al about Seiichirou kissing Aiko. Seiichirou asks her out on a date. That Maria is a man leaks out. Seiichirou goes to award ceremony going public about his identity.

Aiko and Seiichirou go on their first date. After, Seiichirou has stopped writing, and collapses. Is happiness blocking him from writing? What will Aiko do?

A year later, Seiichirou is investing, running, cooking, doing anything but writing. Aiko is working for Karen. Seiichirou disappears. Kougo asks Aiko to go to the shore. What will she find?
