Synopsis

An affluent couple living in a small seaside town are targeted by two local teenagers looking to make a quick buck. However, the break-in takes a dark turn when one of the youths winds up dead and an elaborate cover-up is staged to make the killing appear to be self-defence.

Sam and Rebecca Hickey are leading an idyllic life in their custom-built house in the West Country, but their paradise is shattered one night when two teenagers break into their home. In a paranoid rage, Sam kills one of the intruders, and the couple stage the scene to make it look like self-defence.
Ep. 2: Episode 2 (2021-04-06)

Angela is determined to play games with Sam, using what she knows about the death of Syed as leverage. Bailey starts to pursue her suspicions surrounding the case, but finds only a series of dead-ends. Meanwhile, Rebecca is approached by an old acquaintance who may become a very dangerous enemy.
Ep. 3: Episode 3 (2021-04-07)

Sam is falling apart, not least over what to do about Angela. Bailey makes a breakthrough, but then hits a wall.

Rebecca decides she and Sam must plan their escape in case the police investigation heats up any more.
