Synopsis
El man es Germán is a Colombian comedy drama television series as a spin-off of the soap opera Las detectivas y el Víctor. The plot focuses on the fun and family based situations that punk rock father, German Quintero, and his friends and family live on a daily basis.

Jasbleidy asks German to talk to the 'Tiger' about his sudden interest in changing schools, but finds that his only intention is to run away from a young man who is harassing him. As a result of that confession, German decides to teach him survival techniques to teach the young man a lesson, but it is his son who ends up teaching him the lesson.

The 'Tiger' and his friend play in the school playground, but in the middle of their leisure time they get into trouble when they break one of the school's windows. On the other hand, German and Frito offer to install a television set in Graciela's gymnasium, but German drops it, but acts as if nothing had happened, leaving Frito to be blamed for it. Later, it will be his own son who teaches him a lesson on what a friend is.

Jasbleidy and 'Tigre' leave for Melgar to visit a relative, so 8-Ball is left alone in Bogota. Immediately, German and Frito decide to spy on him and collect evidence to find out which woman it is and thus expose him. Will they succeed in confirming their suspicions?

The 'Tiger' asks German to be the referee for a game to which Calixto has been hired to help with the monthly payment of Mateus, one of his friends. However, when Calixto arrives at the match site, he finds two gangs that want to settle their problems through soccer, so he leaves the responsibility to German and Frito. Will they be able to manage the match in peace?

Fifteen years ago German and Jasbleidy saw each other for the first time so he plans to give her a present to commemorate that anniversary. German pawns Frito's TV for that gift, but later the owner of the business dies so he decides to go to his wake to retrieve the appliance. While there, he is mistaken for the owner's son and takes advantage of the confusion to seize the moment. How long will the lie last?

German suffers an accident that leaves him without memory... For a few minutes. However, having an outstanding debt, he decides to deceive everyone in order to avoid paying it and continue with his supposed amnesia. However, his lie comes to light. Women at the gym plan a bachelorette party for Maribel. After Maribel, one of the gym members, told them that she was getting married, the other women proposed to celebrate her bachelorette party at a stripper bar. Unwittingly, German finds out about that outing and plans to tell everything to 8-Ball so that they can end their relationship and thus get Jasbleidy back. Will he achieve his goal?

Graciela hosts a costume party to raise money for new machines for the gym. However, the party doesn't turn out to be as much fun as they expected because of a group of thieves who find out about the gathering and plan to rob them. Will they succeed?

Patty gets a call to work at a great job, but it gets complicated because she has no one to leave daddy Isidro with. However, German offers to take care of him as a way to pay all the debts he has with Patty, and at the same time, to win Jasbleidy back. Will his plan work out as he expected?

Graciela plans to hire professionals to paint the gym, but German offers to do it at a lower price. However, he does not manage to arrive in time to paint the establishment because the night before he was arrested for not carrying documents. When he is released and arrives at the gym, he finds that Graciela had also hired Calixto and his friends to paint so they had to divide the duties and the money among all of them. Will Graciela have made a good decision?

In the neighborhood they start a chain in which they will have to deliver a letter to 10 people for good luck. Jasbleidy delivers one to German, but he refuses to follow the chain and tears up all the letters that all his friends have given him. Realizing that Graciela is starting to feel lonely when she sees all the couples in the neighborhood, German decides to console her. Seeing the support he was giving her, Graciela comments that her love life is bad since her partner left the country so German suggests her to call her husband. Will that be good advice?

German and Frito go on a trip to Santa Marta, but when they arrive at their destination they find that they no longer have any money, so they pretend to be diving instructors. Seeing the hotel where his dad is staying the 'Tiger' brags and bets with Calixto. At the end of their trip, Frito and German arrive in Bogota as champions.

After several years, Graciela's husband returns to Colombia. Lady Grace's husband returns to Colombia, but soon after, German begins to suspect the attitude of the 'Frenchman', because he does not trust the reason for his visit to Colombia and his intentions with Graciela, so German tries to open her eyes to Graciela and takes her to a place where her husband stayed to meet another woman.

After Frito's dad took away his cab, German decided to accept Berto's proposal to buy a vehicle. However, the vehicle did not turn out to be what they expected. So German decides to confront Frito's father to get the cab back, but the man gives him a very difficult condition. Will he accept?

German decides to give Jasbleidy an exercise bike as a gift to win her back and spends all the money he had. Seeing that they had no money, German proposes Frito to take night shifts in the cab even though he does not have the proper credentials. German is hired for the whole night by a man from the coast who forgets a briefcase full of dollars in the back seat. After trying to exchange the money for Colombian pesos, German and Graciela find out that they are fake dollars.

Ep. 54: The phantom of the grand gymnasium
The owner of Lady Graciela's gym building asks her to vacate before the lease is up. However, Graciela refuses to do so. On top of that, the owner of the building gives Graciela a bottle with holy water because he claims there is a ghost inhabiting the place. German is not very convinced by this and discovers that 'the old fox' is behind the "paranormal" events that occur inside the place. Will he manage to unmask him?

Patty's cousin arrives in Bogota to organize her marriage, so German takes the opportunity to earn money and pretends to be a wedding planner. While planning all the details of the event, German and Frito discover that the future husband of Patty's cousin is unfaithful with another woman. Will the truth come out?

'Tiger' is interested in a girl from his school and to conquer her he becomes a member of the rock band where she is the vocalist. However, the members of the group demand an electric guitar to be part of it. Therefore, German offers to buy him the instrument, but for that he must get extra income and he has no choice but to work as a human statue. Will he manage to get the money and make the 'Tiger' happy?

After several years, Nayibe looks for German to help her take care of her son while she is interviewing for a job. Immediately the rumor spreads that he is supposedly the father of the child until it reaches the ears of the 'Tiger' who feels very affected. Will German manage to clear up the misunderstanding?

Tiger's class must organize the prom for the 11th grade students, so their coordinator calls a parents' meeting to inform them about the event. Upon learning about the event, German offers to host the party, as does Calixto so they both submit a budget to see who they choose. Finally, Calixto is hired as the organizer, but the event does not go as he expected. Will German be the one to save the event?

After being left without a penny, and Lady Graciela no longer trusting them with anything in the store, German and Frito find a rooster. They immediately think of cooking it, but neither dares to do it so German calls Paty to help them. However, 'Tigre' makes German understand that this is not just any rooster and that, on the contrary, it is used for fighting. What decision will German make?

Ep. 64: Being a mother is a male thing
Jasbleidy feels desperate seeing that time is not enough for her to do all the chores in her home and that her husband '8-Ball' and 'Tiger' do not value the effort she makes to have them well. However, German gives Jasbleidy to understand that being a mom is no big deal and offers to do the chores that correspond to her so she can rest. Will it be as easy as he thinks?

German and his friends lose a game and begin to look for the responsible, so Calixto and German begin to have differences and fight. As a result of this, both are taken to the police station and to release them they must reach a conciliation. Will they manage to do it?

The 'Tiger' intends to train the Mapalé to get his girlfriend Catalina to be his partner in the presentation that there will be in his school. Will 'Tigre' be the one to dance with his girlfriend?

Patty gets a job in a call booth and to celebrate she calls German and invites him to visit the place. After the call, German hangs up the phone wrong and Patty ends up listening to the whole conversation in which he speaks badly about her and her friends. As a result of this, German and his friends create a plan so that Patty forgives them. Will they succeed?

German and his friends are short of money so they decide to accept a business deal with the brother of Frito's ex-girlfriend. Despite being in a relationship with Lena for two weeks, Frito decides to propose to her. For this, he takes her serenade. however, the proposal does not go as expected because he discovers her with another man. After disowning his mother and arriving home late, the 'Tiger' decides to go live with German. At first, the "alpha male" finds it a good idea, however, as the days go by he understands Jasbleidy's attitude towards the late arrivals of the 'Tiger' and punishes him. As a result, Jonathan decides to leave German's house too, worrying his parents and most of the community. Will they manage to find him?

German offers to pick up his ex-mother-in-law at the terminal, but on the way he encounters a woman about to give birth. In an act of good faith, German tries to take the woman to the hospital, but the cab suffers a mishap and is delayed and fails to arrive at the terminal. As a result, Graciela hires Calixto to fix the fuse, however, the installation is not properly done and a serious fire breaks out that threatens the lives of all the women who were using it.
