Ep. 1: Rivers
Colin Stafford-Johnson and Lucy Cooke begin a week-long adventure around the UK's wilderness, beginning with a look at the country's rivers. Colin travels up the River Wye following the salmon, while Lucy discovers the wilder side of canals at night. We go behind the scenes with Steve Backshall and the Wild Alaska Live team as they try to film the elusive salmon shark There is also a look at how the return of one of Britain's long-lost beasts, the beaver, is changing the landscape, as well as how the UK's rivers are important for one of the world's most peculiar fish - the sea lamprey.

Ep. 2: Forests
Lucy Cooke and Colin Stafford-Johnson continue their adventure around the UK's wilderness with a look at forests. Lucy investigates how the success of the pine marten in Scotland is also helping a recovery of the animals in Wales. Colin travels deep into one of Britain's wildest places, Keilder Forest, and we go behind the scenes with the Wild Alaska team tracking down grizzly bears. We also discover the surprising blue beetle living in the heart of Dartmoor's wooded valleys and learn how the wild boar has made a comeback.

Lucy Cooke and Colin Stafford-Johnson continue their adventure around the UK's wilderness, investigating the seas. Lucy discovers how the white-tailed sea eagle has made a dramatic return to the coastline. Colin makes his first trip to the wild Farne Islands, home to a world-class seabird spectacular, and we go behind the scenes with the Wild Alaska Live team on the search for orca. There is also a look at a giant that visits our coast during the summer, as well as how the seas of Suffolk hold the key to revealing the surprising giants of the past that once roamed the lands.

Lucy Cooke and Colin Stafford-Johnson turn their attention to the country's mountains. Lucy discovers the brains behind the mountains as she searches for a seriously clever crow - the raven. Colin travels to the wild lands of Snowdonia to discover how this dramatic landscape was formed, and we go behind the scenes with Wild Alaska Live team as they search for the walrus. We also discover how the mountains of Scotland have become the playground of golden eagles and investigate whether the UK will ever again play host to wild lynx.

Lucy Cooke and Colin Stafford-Johnson focus on the UK's cities. Colin travels to Newcastle to meet up with a seabird with a liking for high-rise living. Lucy travels to Brighton to meet Dr Dawn Scott, who is unravelling the reasons behind the red fox's urban habits, and we go behind the scenes with the Wild Alaska Live team as they reveal how life for the people of Alaska can be governed by the arrival of the Pacific salmon. We also discover some top tips for finding the wild amongst the city and reveal how even the kingfisher can find a home in the hustle and bustle of London.
