A group of school leavers outside the testing center of the school certificate examination are discussing means of spending the long summer vacation in the wake of the exam ordeal. On the other hand, they are also worrying ahout their future. The only daughter of rich merchant Chung Yi-cheng, Ke Erh is pretty, sprightly and straightforward, winning much admiration from her classmates. Mixing well with classmates from poorer families, she doesn't do too well in school performance. Living alone with his divorced father Shih-min, Li Han-chieh also plays the role of a housewife and gradually develops an independent personality.
