• Ep. 1: Episode 1 (1992-12-07)

  LAM SO and AH KWAI gets into a funeral as they try to catch a grasshopper. Unintentionally, they push a corpse Tram the coffin. The dead man's relatives are angry and goes to LAM WAI, asking for compensation. WAI has to pay for the accident. KWAI has been appointed to be SO's fiancee when he is young so as to take care of him. They have the feeling of mother and son but in fact they should be couples. When KWAI knows that WAI is going to get another wife for SO, she is not angry. Instead she is happy to have one to share the duty with her. LAM BAI WING is a butcher and an orphan. I-le is always being cheated and Tram time to time, SO helps him and the social status forms no gap between them. SO wants to have a look of his new wife and he finds that she is ugly. Therefore he refuses the marriage. WAI is angry. SO always dream of going to the urban area but WAI does not allow him to leave……

• Ep. 2: Episode 2 (1992-12-08)

  SO, KWAI, WING arrive at the town and they are attracted by the new things. MUI CHU gets into a jewellery shop and steals a jade accessary. She is discovered and runs away. On her way, she meets SO and WAI takes that accessary to the hotel. MUI CHU has her own story. She was sold by his father'" who wanted to raise money to go overseas to find gold. CHU believes that her father will return one day. SO goes to a casino and he wins a big fortune. He leads an extravagant life and this makes KAM DOR BO aware. BO approaches SO so as to get money from him. BO holds a feast for SO and CHU is employed to serve them. SO and MUI CHU are embarrassed. CHU warns SO as BO does not have good intension. In the chaos, LEUNG FUEN comes and saves them. SO has heard the fame of "Po Chi Lam" and follows FUEN to visit WONG FEI HUNG. CHAN CHI and the others find someone to impersonate HUNG to trick them……

• Ep. 3: Episode 3 (1992-12-09)

  SO knows that WING admires CHU and he tries to embridge them. CHU mistakenly thinks that SO loves her and she is excited. CHU knows that her father does not turn up before the dead line, she will become a prostitute. She cries and SO is told about her story. He pretends that he is ill so as to get money from his family to help CHU. KAM YAT FAT wants to get Guangzhou to be his concession. Thus he comes with BO to win fame there. He invites a Japanese fighter to challenge HUNG but HUNG wins the fight. SO meets CHU YAN YAN and is attracted by her beauty. He follows her and overhears that she is annoyed with an appointed marriage. He tricks the others so that the marriage is cancelled. YI thinks that YAN is filthy and slaps her. SO protects her and he front teeth break.

• Ep. 4: Episode 4 (1992-12-10)

  Although YAN is saved Tram the appointed marriage, she is not accepted by YI. She wants to leave and FUNG KIU tries to stop her. However she has determined to leave. At last she is convinced by the old maid LAN to stay. FUNG KIU was a famous prostitute and when YAN's father married her, YAN's mother died. Thus YAN blames her and does not welcomes her. Her attitude does not change even her father has died. After his tooth have been broken, SO looks more handsome. SO loves YAN but he is afraid that YAN may know that he has got married. He tries to explain to her about the relationship between him and KWAI. This causes jokes. BO lusts Tor YAN's beauty and in Tact they got to know each other long time ago. BO begs YAN to marry him. YAN refuses as she wants to have more mutual understanding. SO knows BO's act and brings KWAI to the ball so as to spoil the atmosphere……

• Ep. 5: Episode 5 (1992-12-11)

  BO is angry and instructs LUK HAP CHOI and YEE to lurk SO and WING. WING and SO take refuge in "Po Chi Lam" and art last BO knows it. He goes to ask them to hand SO in. So does not want the others to be involved and agrees to have a duel with him. SO is seriously hurt and HJNG appreciates his character and saves him. YAN is impressed and SO is hurt for her. She takes good care of him. CHU brings some soup to him but SO drinks YAN's. CHU is jealous. One day KWAI puts some medicine into the soup. SO does not know and shares it with YAN. After they have drunk it, they have strong desire and they have sex. They are embarrassed after they wake up. SO wants to embridge WING and CHU. He brings the medicine to them and CHU discovers it. Thinking that it is WING's idea, she slaps him and leaves. WAI visits SO and SO tells them about YAN. However WAI cannot accept YAN as she is too open-minded……

• Ep. 6: Episode 6 (1992-12-14)

  WAI goes home angrily and claims that he will no longer give SO any money. So is not frightened as he knows that his money has left money to him. SO asks KIU about YAN's interests. Although he tries to flatter her, she still claims that there is no foundation between them. They argue over this matter. All the others in "Po Chi Lam" counsels SO as they know that his heart has broken. SO indulges himself in drinking. SO regrets telling the others how he suffers as this hurts his self-?prestige. He continues to entangle YAN and YAN is annoyed. BO takes the chance to approach her. SO misses YAN much and sits at the coast, looking at her photo. Suddenly it is blown to the water. He wants to get it back but falls into the water. CHU is also there. She jumps into the water to save him, thinking that he wants to terminate his life. YAN sends a letter to SO, asking him to stop loving her……

• Ep. 7: Episode 7 (1992-12-15)

  SO has no money and is driven away by the house owner. KWAI seeks help from YAN but for his own self-prestige, SO rents a house with poor living conditions. SO receives her mother letter telling him that her money has been taken away by WAI. SO knows that he has to be independent. However he cannot find a job. For the living, KWAI goes to take nightsoil at night. However SO is seriously sick and needs mu.ch money. CHU sells her virginity to get the money. CHOI MEI puts CHU virginity in auction and SO knows it. He scolds her but later he knows her intension and is sad. SO borrows money from a loanshark and bid for CHU. CHU is impressed and admires him. WING knows that SO and CHJ have spent a night together. Thinking that SO has betrayed him, they become enemies. At last WING knows the truth and is touched.

• Ep. 8: Episode 8 (1992-12-16)

  SO borrows a big debt from some loan sharks who are subordinates of BO. As he cannot pay the debt, SO is tortured. KWAI does not want SO to be hurt and she turns to YAN, asking ~or her helping hand. YAN helps him to repay the debt. SO thinks that he has the chance with YAN who is willing to help him. It is a shock to him when he knows that YAN is going to marry BO soon. SO is discontented and tries to stop the marriage but YAN thinks that he wants to backbites BO only. She is angry with SO. SO and KWAI attend the ceremony of marriage. BO criticises them and KWAI is made angry. She tells him that YAN has sex with SO. BO feels being insulted and determines to rape KWAI for compensation. KWAI worries much and goes to ask HUNG to help her. FUEN is sent to protect her. They fall in love. HJNG goes to discuss with FAT and FAT scolds BO who has made the troubles. SO works in a brothel and he is happy as he is independent……

• Ep. 9: Episode 9 (1992-12-17)

  FUEN admires KWAI while KWAI is also attracted by him. However KWAI is SO's fiancee. As KWAI is SO's fiancee, the seed of love cannot germinate healthily between FUEN and KWAI. SO misunderstands that ON and KWAI have fallen in love. He invites HUNG to be in charge of their divorce. However this mistake embarrasses KWAI. CHU works in a restaurant but she is always entangled by customers and her boss. She cannot tolerate it and leaves angrily. She wants to run a store selling congee and WING supports her. SO is looked down upon by prostitutes. He wants to join the queue to go overseas and finds gold.

• Ep. 10: Episode 10 (1992-12-18)

  So decides to divorce with KWAI so as to let her has her own love affairs. HUNG is in charge to witness the separation between SO and KWAI. However this makes KWAI embarrassed because ON admires KWAI. SO receives a letter from CHU that she will return soon. Everyone is happy to see her arrive. CHU works in a restaurant but she is always entangled by customers and her boss. SO helps her to overcome the situation but at last she cannot tolerate it and leaves angrily. She wants to run a store selling congee and WING supports her. At the beginning, CHU's business does not run smoothly but all her friends come to be her customers. SO is looked down upon and tortured by prostitutes. He is also humiliated by BO, so he wants to join the queue to go overseas and finds gold. However he has no money to pay deposits.

• Ep. 11: Episode 11 (1992-12-21)

  SO wants to raise money but many of his attempts are in vain. As BO knows that he wants to go overseas, he lets him win in his casino. SO decides to go overseas and quits his work in the brothel. He tricks CHU so as to make her feel that he does not care about her before he leaves. SO cannot go abroad as the quota has been filled up. He tries every means to go. YAN is pregnant but she still cares SO. BO is jealous. YAN discovers that BO controls the gang selling people overseas as slaves. She is discontented and informs HUNG. HUNG reports to the police officers but there is no evidence as the witness has left. Moreover the police have been bribed. YAN tries to convince SO not to go abroad. BO thinks that she loves SO when he finds that YAN has informed HUNG about his trick. Therefore he catches SO and tortures him. HUNG goes to ask BO to let SO free but he is refused……

• Ep. 12: Episode 12 (1992-12-22)

  BO is released after SO returns to "Po Chi Lam". SO thanks HUNG and begs HUNG to allow him to stay. HUNG is impressed by his eagerness and agrees. At the very beginning, SO cannot cope with the harsh wok and he is confused to see his colleagues under "special" training. He tries to adapt to it as he knows that HUNG wants to train him. ON requests KWAI to marry him. KWAI is touched but she does not want to leave FUEN. However she worries as FUEN does not reveal his feeling towards her. KWAI is unemployed and CHU agrees to introduce her to work in the brothel. FUEN does not agree as he worries about her safety. KWAI is touched. CHU is asked to pay "protection fee". SO asks CHAT and KAI to drive the gangsters. However they are defeated and SO is astonished to know that they have not learnt martial arts from HUNG……

• Ep. 13: Episode 13 (1992-12-23)

  As CHU has wounded hey leg, SO goes to repair the roof of her house. Because it rains heavily, SO spends a night in her house, SO is thus punished by HUNG again because he returns late. WING is jealous as SO spends a night in CHU's house. Therefore SO swears that there is no filthy relationship between them and tries to embridge them. To know FUEN's attitude, KWAI claims that she is entangled. FUEN rushes to help her and the others burst into laughter‧. He is forced to beg HUNG to teach them martial arts. FUEN tells HUNG and HUNG tricks them. SO is discontented and argues with him. He is punished and wants to go home. WAI comes to visit SO. SO thinks that he has a chance to go home but they prefer him to stay so as to learn more to change his behaviour. SO wants to leave with WAI but he is driven away by them. Thus he begs HUNG to adopt him again. HUNG allows him to stay as he appreciates his talent……

• Ep. 14: Episode 14 (1992-12-24)

  HUNG is not deceived by SO though he tries very means to pretend to be good. SO knows that BO does not treat YAN good. He asks her but YAN feels embarrassed and pretends to be happy. FAT wants to get the piece of land on which "Po Chi Lam" is built. He pretends to be friendly but HUNG knows his trick. HUNG asks for one hundred thousand dollars for the land. SO tries to embridge CHU and WING. This only makes the situation be a triangular entanglement and more embarrassing. KWAI is in a dilemma as ON begs her to marry him again but FUEN has not response. SO tells FUEN KWAI's feeling. However FUEN only wants to follow HUNG. KWAI is depressed and at last she promises to marry ON who treats her so good. Although FUEN wants to change his mind, it is too late. CHJ discloses her love in front of SO but SO does not want to spoil his friendship with WING. He refuses her and CHU is shocked……

• Ep. 15: Episode 15 (1992-12-25)

  WING asks SO to request CHU to marry him. SO talks with CHU and he realizes that he loves CHU. They cannot conceal their feelings and fall in love. CHU wants to tell WING that she loves SO but she is afraid that this may shock him. On the other hand SO is afraid that he and WING will become enemies if WING knows that he loves CHU. WING suspects that CHU has another lover. He carries out investigation. CHAT, KAI and FUEN are suspected and at last he finds that SO is the one. He feels being cheated and fights with SO. HUNG comes to see what has happened. HUNG tells them to solve the problem themselves as outsiders has no say in it. The others have pity on WING whose lover has been taken away. They repel SO who is embarrassed. WING is depressed as his heart is broken. SO tries to ask him to forgive but his hatred does not terminate.

• Ep. 16: Episode 16 (1992-12-28)

  SO wants to trap HUNG by hiding some opium in "Po Chi Lam"'. Meanwhile CHU's father returns and tell them FAT's dirty tricks. HUNG is aware and takes precaution to overcome the false accusation. CHU's father is arrested but luckily HUNG instructs FUEN and the others to save him. FAT's slave trade is spoiled by HUNG but he decides to take revenge. FAT sends subordinates to set "Po Chi Lam" on fire. WING discovers it when he is going to leave. Luckily the downpour of rainfall puts it out and no one is hurt. SO does not want to see WING so depressed and decides to embridge him and CHU again. He decides to go home. FUEN and the others rush to the railway station, telling him that CHU is also going to leave. SO does not want to leave CHU. He rushes to the ferry pier, asking her to stay. CHU promises to stay……

• Ep. 17: Episode 17 (1992-12-29)

  SO quarrels with BO's subordinates and for justice he fights with them to protect innocent people. All his colleagues become mighty fighters except SO, thus he is rather disappointed. CHAT knows HOI TONG who is a prostitute. She seduces him for his money. He is attracted but later he finds that she is money-minded. He is disappointed. SO does not want YAN to be deceived. He brings YAN to see BO seducing a prostitute. YAN is shocked and miscarries her baby. BO knows that YAN cannot bear any baby and wants to abandon her. However he aims at the restaurant. He tries to flatter her.

• Ep. 18: Episode 18 (1992-12-30)

  YAN overhears the conversation between BO and FAT. She thinks that BO is forced by FAT thus she asks FUNG KIU to sell the restaurant to FAT so as to release BO from troubles. CHU discovers FAT and BO's trick and tells SO. SO wants to disclose BO's dirty trick but he has no evidence. However BO has a polar change of attitude after he has got the restaurant. YAN regrets having helped him. FUNG KIU goes to question BO but she is beaten up. She becomes mad and SO leads her to HUNG and HUNG gives them temporary accommodation in "Po Chi Lam". SO has pity on YAN and takes good care of her. He even goes to question BO but he is driven away. YAN thinks that SO still loves her. She is touched and decides to accept his love. SO knows that there is misunderstanding between them but he does not want to hurt her. Thus he is trapped in the triangular entanglement. He is embarrassed and does not know what to do……

• Ep. 19: Episode 19 (1992-12-31)

  KWAI finds a shop to sell bean curbs. She makes the Kams angry. FUEN and HUNG settle the problem for her. As FUEN is hurt, KWAI takes care of him. YAN still regards SO as her lover and CHU is jealous as SO is so kind to YAN. Luckily she forgives him after his explanation. LAU knows that he will die soon thus he comes to find a suitable coffin. SO meets him. Thinking that LAU comes to kill him, he runs away. HUNG saves SO from the trouble. In chaos Lau is arrested. FAT knows that LAU's hatred of SO. He releases and tricks LAU by telling him that SO is under HUNG' s protection. LAU agrees to fight against HUNG under his instruction. FUEN is afraid that he will lose KWAI again thus he actively goes to help her. KWAI feels guilty as she has left him before and she dares not to accept his love. FUENJ is confused. LAU goes to "Po Chi Lam" when HUNG is not there. SO is seriously hurt……

• Ep. 20: Episode 20 (1993-01-01)

  When everyone is happy to see LAU leaving, all are excited but suddenly LAU appears in front of them. LAU requests to nave a duel with HUNG and he has to accept it. HUNG asks SO to lea.ve as if he is defeated but SO decides to stay as it involves the future of "Po Chi Lam". Lau leaves after being defeated by HUNG in the duel. FAT smuggles fire arms and drugs. By mistake the illegal goods are taken into "Po Chi Lam" by CHAT. FAT makes use of the chance to accuse HUNG as a smuggler. HUNG and FUEN are sentenced to death. SO and the others go into the prison to save HUNG but for fame and justice, HUNG refuses to leave. When they are about to be executed, the officer arrives and declares that the Kams are the real criminals. BO escapes by using FAT as his shield. Can the Kams escape? How about SO's future?
