Biography
Wayne Burns is a Canadian-American actor and producer. Hailing from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, he may be most recognized for his series regular role as Lykos, the Prince of Athens, in the Syfy Original Series, Olympus (2015), created by BAFTA © Nominee Nick Willing. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Wayne has starred opposite Golden Globe © Winner Richard Gere in Longing (2024), Emmy Nominee © Ben Foster in Sharp Corner (2024) and the late Cory Monteith in All the Wrong Reasons (2013). He can also be seen in audience favourites: Mr. D (2012), Murdoch Mysteries (2008), Baroness Von Sketch Show (2016), and What We Do in the Shadows (2019). Wayne has starred in and produced several short films, most notably the award-winning CBC-funded short film LIAR (2020) alongside Allister MacDonald, fastLOVE (2025) and EEL (2025), which had their world premieres at Roze Filmdagen and the Atlantic International Film Festival, respectively. Wayne was selected for the 2026 Producer's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto, Canada.
