Javier Martínez Abadía, also known as J.M. Abadía (Madrid, 12 September 2005), is a Spanish director and screenwriter. Trained at ECAM and ICM, he has linked his childhood and adolescence to the act of filming, developing a defined and recognisable authorial identity that continues to evolve. His work ranges from psychological thrillers to auteur dramas, with a strong presence of the rural world as a symbolic and emotional space. Conflicts linked to obsession, identity and emotional isolation are recurring themes in his filmography.
