Biography
Andrés Restrepo Gómez (Medellín, Colombia, 1996). Audiovisual producer, screenwriter, narrator and poet. He graduated from Eliseo Subiela's Professional Film School, where he teaches Screenwriting I and II. He currently holds a Master's Degree in Playwriting from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, where he also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Writing Arts. He directed and wrote the short films "Muerte, no seas mujer" (2018), "El corazón es la cuarta pared" (2019), "Muhamab el zurdo" (2021) and "Los novios" 2023), with which he participated in various international festivals. In 2020 he published in Medellín his first book of poems: "La bohemia que pagaron mis padres", with Vásquez Editores. He worked as a collaborator and assistant to screenwriter Leo Calderone for the writing of the feature film in development "Jaque mate", produced by Patagonik Films. In January 2022 he was runner-up in the XXIV Certamen Literario de Relato Breve "Villa de Colindres" with his short story "El proceso", a free rewrite of Kafka's novel of the same name.
