Biography
Kike Pinto, founder and director of the “TAKI” Institute, Cultural Center and Museum of Andean and Amazonian Musical Instruments, unique in its kind throughout Peru, musicologist, composer, singer-songwriter, performer, teacher and cultural promoter, has a private collection of approximately 500 traditional musical instruments, Andean, Amazonian, Afro-Peruvian and from around the world, all of them authentic, collected from their places of origin, communities, towns, etc., together with field recordings of music, interviews and research material.
