Biography
Vasilis Bougiouklakis (February 22, 1944 – January 31, 1999) was a Greek actor. He was born in Athens on February 22, 1944. He had acted in many films alongside Sotiris Moustakas and other actors. He played the role of Mayor Harchoudas in the children's radio show Edo Lilipoupoli, at the time when Manos Hadjidakis was the Director of the state radio station Trito Programma. A graduate of the drama school of the National Theatre, Vasilis Bougiouklakis worked in the theatre for over 25 years, collaborating with Karezi, Vlachopoulou, Hadjichristos, Vengos, etc. He collaborated for 8 years with the Art Theater shortly before the Revolution until 1978. He participated in the plays A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, Pieces and Fragments by Skourtis, Faces for Violin and Orchestra by Kambanelis, etc. In 1980 he founded a children's stage by staging the play by his wife, Liana, The Strange Dream of Vasilis. The play was presented in Greece as well as in the Greek diaspora in America, Canada and Europe. He participated in films and television series. He played the role of Mayor Harchoudas on Radio Lilipopolis. Between 1990-1992 he presented the daily show Camera Truth on Channel 29, with reports from the farmers' markets, as well as the radio show A Clove of Garlic on Radio Athens 9.84.
