Saroj Khanal (born March 14, 1960) is a prominent Nepalese actor and director who has made significant contributions to Nepali cinema, television, and theater. Born in Chitwan, Nepal, he began his acting journey in theater with the 1987 play Bhasmasur Ko Nali Haad before transitioning to television and feature films. He achieved widespread acclaim for his memorable performance as Nakul in the classic 1995 movie Prem Pinda, establishing him as one of the country's finest and most versatile leading actors. At the peak of his fame, he relocated to the United States and spent over a decade living abroad before making a highly anticipated return to Nepal. Since his comeback, he has actively resumed his career, starring in hit projects like Prem Geet, Captain, and Bagan, the latter of which also marked his directorial efforts. Honored with the prestigious Prabal Gorkha Dakshinbahu award for his achievements, he balances his creative work with agricultural ventures and remains a beloved figure in Nepali entertainment.
