Biography
Antolín Prieto is a Peruvian independent filmmaker, editor, and curator with a filmography rooted in Latin American cinema. His debut feature Los Helechos (2018) screened at major festivals including Málaga, Guadalajara, and Havana. A seasoned editor, he has contributed to acclaimed Peruvian films such as Canción sin nombre, Hija de la laguna, and Pacificum. He holds a background in Computer Engineering, Communication Sciences, and Film, along with a Master's in Screenwriting from UNIR (Spain, 2024). Selected for Berlinale Talents, Guadalajara Doculab, and other international film development programs, he lectures in film and leads Correspondencias Fílmicas Peruanas, a project that connects emerging filmmakers across different regions and countries, building bridges within Peruvian cinema. He is currently producing Memorandum — winner of the Peruvian national documentary fund 2025 — and developing Negritos, his second fiction feature.
