Biography
Director, screenwriter, poet, painter, violinist, visual artist, and animator, Aleksandra Korejwo (born June 14, 1958 in Poznań, Poland) creates her films using her own unique animation technique, using loose matter (hand-colored salts, depending on the film's color palette), directly under the camera. She has received over 40 awards, distinctions, and nominations at national and international festivals, as well as diplomas of recognition, including such prestigious awards for her original loose matter animated films. Member of the Polish Filmmakers Association, member of ASIFA, and since 2019, member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her original films made at the TV Animated Film Studio in Poznań, were presented in the years 1984–2024 at over 300 festivals and film reviews around the world.
