Biography
Mustafa Duygulu (1986) is an Amsterdam based director, screenwriter and actor, born to Turkish parents. Since graduating in 2009 from the Maastricht Academy of the Performing Arts, he appeared as leading or supporting actor in several high profiled films and series; WOLF, GODFORSAKEN and the yet to be released Netflix Original FOREVER RICH. As a screenwriter, Duygulu co-wrote the screenplays for Jim Taihuttu's Amazon Original THE EAST and Victor D. Ponten's feature film CATACOMBS. For the script of his short film SMOKE LIKE A TURK Mustafa was nominated for the Zilveren Krulstaart, the Dutch scenario prize. In 2016 he debuted as a film director with his short OMEGA, followed by single-play SUMMER BROTHERS which he both also wrote. Since then he has been one of the most sought after writer-directors of his generation in The Netherlands, directing four-episodes of the immensely popular crime series MOCRO MAFFIA, which was sold to Germany, Japan, France and Russia. The series was nominated for Best TV Drama at the Netherlands Film Festival. Currently Mustafa is developing his first feature film.
