Biography
After graduating from Nottingham University, Williams started work as assistant cameraman on Alfred Hitchcock's Blackmail (1929). He subsequently advanced through the ranks to become the head of Gainsborough's camera department in the early 1930s. Headed his own production company in the 1950s.
