Synopsis

Across the silvery Nile from Cairo in Egypt, in the shadow of the great pyramids, is one of the true wonders of the world. For nearly five thousand years its existence has been shrouded in mystery, controversy and uncertainty. How long has it been there? Who built it and when? Why was it built? Whose face is on it? Are there secret chambers underneath?
