Baishunzuma zetchô (1979)
Synopsis
A former yakuza has completely left the criminal world behind and now runs a bar as an honest man. One day, he picks up a woman who jumps into his car saying she has nowhere to go and needs help. Thinking she must have some kind of problem, he takes her back to his place, and the two, who hit it off, eventually start living together and get married. A year later, the woman, now a settled, gentle, and virtuous housewife, is suddenly confronted by another woman. She is a former colleague of the man, from when they worked together in a shady prostitution ring run by a yakuza gang. Told that she should apologize to the gang if she didn't want her husband to find out about her past, the woman goes to the yakuza gang as instructed, but is naturally imprisoned. When the man learns that his wife has been taken from him, he single-handedly takes on the gang to rescue the woman he loves…
