Offering privileged access to the sea, the Loire Estuary has long been a strategic area, driven solely by economic interests. But the rise of environmental awareness has significantly changed the situation. Today, the estuary has become a symbol of a major societal challenge: should we keep producing more and more, or protect sensitive natural areas?
