Synopsis
A waiter who monitors the number of calories in restaurant customers’ meals is not a feature of a new app, but the hero of a popular science film produced by the Ministry of Health in the mid-1950s about healthy eating. The human body is presented as a power plant that must be supplied with the appropriate amount of recommended fuel, and the film’s guide ensures that well-fed citizens can feed the collective spirit of socialism with their energy.
