Ahok first gained wide public recognition as Jokowi’s running mate in the 2012 Jakarta gubernatorial election. But what happened when Ahok campaigned on his own, among the people of Bangka Belitung? This documentary follows his 2009 journey as he campaigned to run for a seat in the Indonesian House of Representatives representing Bangka Belitung.
