Synopsis
"It is not only the school but also the prison that is a mirror of society," says a board member at Hällbyanstalten outside Eskilstuna. Here are the strong and the weak, the stupid - who eventually perish - and the smart who always manage at the expense of the stupid. Here are all the prejudices and all the humiliation, hatred and anger, indifference and wild dreams. Caregiver and cared for but where the words have lost their meaning.
